How Many Pieces Are in a Wholesale Clothing Pack? What to Expect

Piece count is the easy part to know upfront. Here's what's actually predictable about a wholesale pack, and what varies because the inventory is genuine secondhand stock.

How Many Pieces Are in a Wholesale Clothing Pack? What to Expect

Piece count is one of the first questions worth asking before buying any wholesale pack, and it's also one of the easiest to get a straight answer on — a supplier should state it plainly per pack, not bury it in vague language like “assorted quantity.” What's harder to pin down, and reasonably so, is the exact size and style breakdown inside that count.

Why piece count is fixed but size mix isn't

A supplier selling genuine secondhand stock is working from donated and collected clothing, not a manufacturer's size run where every size is produced in predictable proportions. That means a supplier can tell you exactly how many pieces you're getting in a pack, but can't promise a specific size breakdown — doing so would mean holding back inventory to force a size distribution, which usually means slower fulfillment and less genuinely random (i.e. representative) stock.

What a reasonable supplier can commit to

  • Exact piece count per pack
  • The grading standard applied to every piece (Cream, Grade A, etc.)
  • Category focus (all denim, all dresses, mixed, etc.)
  • Men's/women's mix, where relevant

What to expect will vary

  • Specific sizes within the pack
  • Exact brand names, though the overall brand tier should stay consistent
  • Specific colors or prints

How to plan around size variation as a reseller

List based on what actually arrives rather than pre-selling specific sizes to customers. If you run a shop that depends on a specific size range (plus-size or petite-focused, for example), it's worth asking a supplier directly whether their sourcing skews toward a particular range before committing to a full pack — a Resale Pack is a lower-cost way to check this yourself.

Biz2Gig's pack sizes

Piece counts are fixed and stated per pack — our Jeans Pack, Sweatshirts & Track Jackets Pack, and Dresses Pack each list their piece count directly on the product page, and the Mixed Resale Pack spreads a larger count across categories. Sizes and specific styles vary by nature of the secondhand sourcing described in Where Our Inventory Comes From, and every pack is backed by our 14-day quality guarantee regardless.
